Ooooh, don't know, it was only pointed out to me recently by someone so didn't realise it hadn't been there forever. I've never needed to go there, I think it's only the kids and house staff that go isn't it?

Yep, only matrons and pupils who ever need to go there. The wardrobe staff have an allergy to parents!

We had a fantastic day too. DD's nursemaid is a joy, and after dd staring at her feet on thursday at the thrift shop when first meeting her, dd soon became her chatty self, and they found a quiet table in the library and talked for ages whilst I tried to get the one thing I was missing (organised?not usually!but thanks to this board I am!). Boy was that BUSY

asked loads of questions, and am now officially and uncool parent

What do you think about us, the new parents on this board, meeting up on the first day (after settling our children in, and wondering what to do with ourselves ,and before heading home) at say the Boars Head on the Worthing Road?

It's great how CH has certainly moved with the times, especially in settling newbies in etc, but the term nursemaid seems so old-fashioned, and do the boys not mind being called nursemaid?!

I agree! I used to think it quite funny at Hertford when you had the same schoolma and became someone's 'school sister', was wondering if it was possible to have been a grandschoolma?!

My dd announced that she found it quite 'disturbing' that she might be known as a squit !!

One of the nursemaids in a boys house called himself a 'guide' which I thought less feminine
