Thank you everyone - I spent my birthday getting ready to move house tomorrow (now today), with lunch in IKEA. We always went back to school about now, so packing seems about right! It' 45 years ago on Thursday that Angela and I started at Hertford. How has that happened?

And 28 years ago today since my daughter Maria started at Hertford - as she reminded me somewhere else on this forum - a scary thought - a palindromic date 18-8-81!

It was August 19 - how can I forget - it's Carolynn's birthday, too. 45 years ago and introduced to the dreaded Millie.

I hope the move went OK? and that cats Rachel and Esther will settle in. Miaow! Details, please, about your new home!

Missed this on the day, Mary, hope you had a great day.

You were the first intake to have the August start, 45 years ago when you started I was very miffed to be having my birthday at school - I was UVI that year and had had all my previous birthdays at home, it didn't seem right! My birthday was the Sunday, and I slept in the Maid's Room in 6s on the Saturday night as I was serving in Chapel on Sunday. I tried hard to make it like my home bedroom - not much success! I can remember opening my family presents in splendid isolation. As there were so many UVI in 6s that year normally I slept in one of the dorms, no cubies then.
