Teacher wage?

Post by WillD »

Hi!

Hope you're all doing well. I'm looking to become a teacher in the area and have a question about teacher wages here. I'm moving from Birmingham so not sure about everything yet. I've been offered £27,000 after tax according to this calculator: http://after-tax.co.uk/?income=35000. Is this a good wage in this area? Hope someone can get back to me :)

Cheers WD

Will; you don't say where you are going to. I would have thought £35K for a starting teacher was a very reasonable salary.
Some cities have weighting because of local increased costs and I suspect that some deprived areas will load teachers' income.
What happens if a politician drowns in a river? That is pollution.
What happens if all of them drown? That is solution!!!
