Controversy

Post by Jolyon »

I remember long afternoons at CH sitting in peoples studies and putting the world to rights. Is this forum the right place for that, or should we stay away from such things?

Yes, they are fine and will be interesting
No, because it can lead to heated tempers

Actually, my vote is: Yes they are fine and will be interesting and Yes because it can lead to heated tempers

Nothing necessarily wrong with heated tempers.

We covered politics and religion and other big issues. Think we were outside discussing for about 3 hours, while everyone else was in the warm playing drinking games. Suddenly we felt cold as our tempers were not that heated and went inside and drank lots.

It was fun but afterwards I had to explain that I'd had this great debate with people called "Dil" and "Lulu". You couldn't make that up!
