A literal context. Should people have the right to move around as they please or do governments have a duty to create as much hassle as possible?

Whilst I believe in 'Freedom of Movement' generally, I feel there must be some form of control over certain people who should be 'watched' very closely.

Does this answer your question ??

The government's proposed linink of traffic/security cameras:
Dodgy. Would have to be very restricted access, and not sure about them including private cctv systems [eg. at petrol stations]

But, this is a good idea:

.............. Not when we see members of a certain religious persuasion turning up at demonstrations, all wired up with 'imitation' bomb equipment.

With Civil Libs, there's rarely an easy answer.

consider this though: if the guy with imitation bombs strapped to him really was considered a threat, he would have been shot dead there and then.
the fact that he wasn't, means that he wasn't.
which makes it a bit rich to then go on and use him as an excuse for Orwellian levels of control.

the guy was, undoubtedly, a bit of a w€nker. this speaks for itself, i really doubt he has many friends now (if he did before)
