Hi All

Wondering whether anyone can shed some on light on this.

I went to the London Irish vs Cardiff Blues Game on Sunday, initially to see the Great Jonah Lomu and was surprised when a familiar face ran by me. Thinking nothing of it till the announcement went out announcing the Ref would be Sean Davey. That made my heart stop.

Does Mr Davey still work at Christ's? I know that Andrew Higgins plays for Bath but is there anyone else that has become a referee?

But did you realise that he went to put someone in the sin bin for 10 minutes, reached into his back pocket only to discover that he had left his yellow and red cards in the dressing room! Those watching on BBC Wales heard him say to Brian Campsall, the 4th official, "Bring me some ******* cards fast". He gave the player a dressing down. At the next stoppage, Campsall duly brought SD a bottle of water and subtly handed over some cards. All of this was noticed by the Welsh commentators, who had also picked up on the frantic search of the pocket earlier.
It is good to know he can still laugh about it in the Common Room!

My therapist says I have a preoccupation with vengeance. We’ll see about that.

Sounds like it's not the first time then.

Perhaps JT can edit the url so this thread isn't so wide. [Done. Mod.]

This Sounds Really Sad but was wondering whether any one has a copy of the Game or am i the only sad one that videos things like that.

Reason being that we were doing some erratic dancing and the cameras were on us so just wanted to see if they showed any of it?

I think i remember the card incident though as i'm sure he was going to book someone abit earlier??!!

I don't know, its quite hard to tell the difference between me erotically dancing or erratically dancing.

I have to say even now, Mr Davey scares the living daylights out of me.

Cracking match and all for £18!!!!!!

I was gobsmacked when I saw my old rugby coach featured on Question of Sport's "What happened next". I don't recall the incident they showed, but it could well have been the cards by the sounds of it!

Surprised he could referee a Newcastle game as (correct me if I'm wrong) that's where he's from.
