Brittany?

Does anyone have some experience of living in Brittany which they'd be willing to share? I'm planning to rent there for a couple of months next summer in order to escape the incredible heat here in Italy. Any insight into places to search for accommodation - just my wife and myself - or any other useful information would be gratefully received, maybe via pm.
