CH Ties....

Post by jtaylor »

Below the pictures of the three available CH ties I've received over the years.

Feel free to add your comments......the middle one gets worn occassionally, and the one on the left is only worn on "bad tie" days along with the matching socks......
The third one....hmmm......never worn I think!

Well I never knew the differences....perhaps a "Registered CH Forum Member" tie is in order! - maybe a blend of the two, in chav stripes?

Well, I guess the "House and Violence" bit may apply, depending on how rough the school is these days??!??

Re. Chav:- I was just meaning that any CH tie could potentially be naff and 'orrible, like chav gear....

gotchya. the current old blue tie isn't that far from what you described (i got given one). how come we old blues get the crap one? and what's with the red stripe?

so many questions. fashion never really was my strong point. :(

I think you'd also need emoticons on a tie for "Registered CH Forum Members" they would complement the chav stripes nicely!

The red represents the city of London so I am told - still think its an ugly tie, though Im not losing much sleep over it. I think they could be useful in other ways, perhaps as a belt, or for any other unfortunate moment when a piece of rope is not at hand.

I have the one on the left, AND the one on the right.

Left one is the OLD O.B.'s tie, (given to me years ago by my late Mums cousin who was at C.H. just before WW2.

The one on the right was the official O.B.'s tie when I originally joined the O.B's in 1963, (I think ?)
