Hey Jude

How mobile and financial is she? If she can get her hands on a scholarship to cover travel and some accomodation expenses I could almost certainly find something for her in Adelaide - possibly even in Grant Sutherland's (whooooooooooooo?) lab.

I can get hold of money possibly - would you / could you look into this for me - I mentioned it to her - and she said "Sounds great" - it's the experience of lab work that she wants - (and yes - WHo is Grant Sutherland??!!!) I am sure we can get some financial aid from her Uni, or even from the Bank!!

Jude
Thank you

Hey Jude

Will certainly look into it once I am back in Oz.

Can you/your daughter come up with specific dates and give me an idea of her particular interests?

Grant Sutherland is head of Genetics at the Adelaide Women's & Children's, and his group have been involved with the Human Genome Project (I think. But, then, which Geneticist hasn't?).

It could possibly be worth trying the British Council for funding. Don't actually know that they support this kind of thing, but I'm getting a sort of gut feeling that they might be worth a try. Or local service groups? BSB? The Masons?

If Adelaide doesn't appeal I could send out the word interstate, although don't have any personal contacts at the moment.

I'm sorry that I can't remember your daughter's name, but I'm more than happy for her to contact me directly
