Can anyone shed some light on proposed building plans?

and wondered what CH is planning in a little more detail. Any ideas JT?

This was the original masterplan which has been much scaled down...

what has happened has been the 2 Grecians houses, the revamp of the Art School and 8 boarding houses refurbed - the school then run out of money...

Ah. I knew about the house revamp and art school. What I didn't know about was the new academic quad, languages centre etc....

Yes, that was the plan - I think it's all on hold...

The plan was that after the Boarding houses had been revamped, the subjects which had been in the Prep Block (currently in Portacabins in the Art School car park) would be moved into new buildings on the quarter mile... They would then build a new CDT school on the 4th side of the Art School 'quad' - the old CDT school would become a social area for the school - (probably because the back ash would be wiped out by housemasters' houses)

Wow. So it will look like a cross between Kings Canterbury and Canford by sounds of it.

That kind of planning sounds like a 'money to burn' policy.

Yes, that was when the school thuoght they had a lot of money (as they think they do every 15 years or so!) and then spend too much too quickly and then have little money left...
