School Prospectus

Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

Yes, obviously they've sent lots out to old blues. But I found it strange that the big speciality about CH (to most of us anyway) about the assessment of school fees I did not even find mentioned. Is is only to attract full fee paying people? Is the historical "charitable benevolence" now unimportant?

Evidently. They could fill the school up 20 times over with the sort of child CH was founded for.

I have to agree with everything above !
Not having received a copy I can only refer to Richard Ruck's analysis. Firstly I would have expected him at least to be neutral but I have to agree that talk of Verrios, Brangwyns, Senior Grecian's Orations, St. Matthew's Day and someone elses reference to being close to the airports should be totally irrelevant. Surely it is the QUALITY of a well rounded education which is the alpha and omega of Christs Hospital (or should be).

What happens if a politician drowns in a river? That is pollution.

We have been here before and the previous exchanges should put most good people off. Now, of course if you are an a**e licking social climber then ...........
Having been the OB editor for almost 10 years, and consequently on first the CHC committee and then the CHOBA Board, I have difficulty identifying the "a**e licking social climber" you seem to assume is on the Board.

You're politer than I am, John. I actually find David's comment downright offensive.

I was very anti-CH for many years, but this forum - until recently - helped me come to terms with my time there. I was finally prompted to remember the charge and to try and put something back, both financially and by giving my time - and such skills as I have- on the CHOBA Board. Sometimes I honestly wonder why

As another Hertford OG said recently, this has become a less pleasant place to be of late.

Love that line in one of the 'Police Squad' films, courtesy of Leslie Nielsen playing Frank Drebbin and looking up as he holds the ladder for Ms Presley in the library.....

"NICE BEAVER !!"

For heaven's sake JR - not content with distorting the subject of this thread, you have to do your Nudge Nudge, Wink Wink "funny" turn, and you a moderator. Just one more reason why I have to drop out of this Forum.

I don't visit for a week or so and all hell seems to have broken loose!

Annie you are a valued poster on here as are many of your Hertford colleagues.

The answer (and I include myself in this too incidentally) is to take ownership of the forum with your (our) postings if you dislike what is happening.

Don't just walk away please.
