"University of Housey"

Word has it that a plan is afoot for some of the more eminent staff - the Doctors, I assume - to take part in a trial scheme to use the buildings and facilities at CH to offer part-time degrees, validated by the University of Sussex. Apparently the students would only be able to do the equivalent of a first-year course at CH, before having to go to the main bit of UoS to do the rest of their degree. Apparently this could go a fair way to fixing the money problems at school. The plan is still in its early stages, I'm told, but it could be quite good!

Any idea that utilises and brings in income from the buildings and estate must be a good one and this one being linked to education seems ideal - as long as they can ensure better security. Never once have we been stopped or challenged when driving past the lone barrier.

Sounds as if Barnes Wallis's dream of "the College of Christ's Hospital at University Standard" may at last be coming true.

Euresto,
Well done! Classic April Fool's Day joke - told with straight face (actually pen), totally credible, and playing, just ever so slightly, on people's fears. Took most people in - including, I have to admit, me.

Very clever, like it - got me hook-line-and-sinker!

Having said that, there's a level of credibility to it - worth suggesting to the powers-that-be?!?

Josh, I always thought April Fool's Jokes had to be before noon. Does your family have a different tradition?
