Hello all,
I guess I joined the forum because emigrating to Brazil has made me sort of sentimental about all the things I'll be leaving behind.
I have only been back to CH twice since I left, and then only because I was passing.
I was half looking (mooching) for people I used know; I have moved around many times during the course of the past 20 years or so and subsequently lost touch with many many people.
It's been so long since I saw some of the people I would like to say hi to, I can't even remember most of their surnames!
Anyway, if anyone was around CH in the early-late seventies and can recall the shortest person in the school, that was me...Tim Vincent.
Say hi here...

OK, were we in Mid B. at the same time? I left in 1978.
I'm afraid my memory has a few gaps these days.....

Yeah... but you were 2 years older than me, so I was probably insignificant.
If it's any consolation, I can't remember you either!
I blame excess "howsyerfather" at university.
Some names I do remember are Dave Lagnado, Chris McLeod, Nick Clemence, Mark Thomas (but only because he was on the telly a few times), Steve Foster....
Like the answers to a cryptic crossword, more might come if I stop trying to remember.

I remember some of the names you mention. Blimey, I must have done stuff like supervise prep and tell you to go to bed on time.
Sound like we need to find a couple of house photos - that might help.
My mum's got a few. The trouble is, she lives on the West coast of Scotland, and things would get confusing if I asked her to take a photo to her neighbours and ask them to scan it. I'll see what I can do next time I visit, though.

Recognise anyone?

Matron.
She must have been the Middleton matron for years (I left in 72).

I think the house photo is 1979.

The two 'outside' Housemaster's with the dodgy haircuts look somewhat suspicious !"

Everyone had dodgy haircuts in those days.

Housemaster - Nick Jones
House tutors - Mike Williams and 'Slug' Plumley
Button Grecians - John 'Jock' Sedgwick and Rob Kelly
During my last term Mid. B had 8 Button Grecians - there's a photo on my mum's wall. Another one to get scanned, I think.
I recognise quite a few faces, but I'd have to think for a while to put some names to them.........
Why was the photo not taken outside the house, then?

Maybe the sun wasn't coming from the right direction.....I also have a vague memory of some scoffolding works(?)
I am the short-arse second in from the right in the first standing row.
