Did Steve Cleverdon have a sister at Hertford by any chance?

I was there with a Julia Cleverdon, she was from deepest Devon and in 2's, 67-74 or thenabouts.

Julia had a lovely singing voice and was a good pianist if I remember correctly, she definitely had a Devon accent

Steve Cleverdon definitely had an (older) sister at Hertford though I can't remember her name. She was very good looking and much admired by Steve's fellow second formers, myself included, in LHA when she came to visit.

Julia was I suppose quite a beauty though CH uniform etc was not really designed to show it off and girls don't notice it among themselves.

She had what I call 'Snow White' colouring, almost black curly hair, very dark eyes, very fair skin and red lips.

Recognise anyone?
Yes Tim I recognise a few because I'm sat between Nick Jones and Mike Williams sporting what has previously been described as a dodgy haircut. So then, that's me, John Sedgwick who lives almost next door to Dick Ruck's mum on an Inner Hebridean island. I can put a few names to faces in the photo but not that many...

Front Row: far right is Chris Kelly (produced that Castaway 2000 programme a while back. Last heard of living in Glasgow).

1st row seated: Russell Deitch, ?, Phil Anscombe, Mike Williams (?now living in NZ), me, Nick Jones, Matron (I think you were taller than her), Rob Kelly (living in Fontainebleau France), Nick Plumley (used to live around the corner from my wife's family in Arundel), Nick Konig, Steve Cleverdon.

2nd row standing: ?, Paul Somebody, Dave Lagnado, Nigel Raywood, Giles Fitzpatrick, Bo Somebody, then I draw a blank until Steve Somebody, yourself and Paul Billings at the end of the row.

3rd row standing: second in from left is Paul Wright, Clive Russell-Whitaker is fourth from the right with Duncan McCowan on his left with Chris McLeod pulling faces behind them on the back row. Derek Benad is standing on the far right of the 3rd row.

I've got all my old photos in the loft at home which I'll attempt to scan and get posted up. They've got all the names written on the back too so I can fill in the gaps in our collective failing memories.

But she punched way above her weight. Her habitual mode of greeting was a fast right into the solar plexus.

I have just read through this thread again and realised that if I looked at the pics I would have recognised Steve cleverdon as Julia's brother.

Tim,
I think you are standing to the left of Steven Foster. He is my uncle.

I have only linked to this because it appears to me that we women on here are currently punching above our weight. I haven't actually checked but I am now under the impression that Hertford OBs plus a number of women from Horsham are making a disproportionate contribution her, particularly over the last few months.

That's OK so long as you stay above the belt (not speaking for JR of course) )

What happens if all of them drown? That is solution!!!
