Ask the CHA Board

So what do we have to do to be allowed on that forum?

Not that I have any questions you understand, I am asking on behalf of us all.

(and I am intrigued)

You don't have to do anything out of the ordinary.

Anyone who is registered on the forum can post a question or an observation there. The idea is that questions and issues can be addressed and replied to in an open manner.

The feeling is that in the past quite a few people felt that their opinions and concerns, as voiced on this forum, were being cast into the void because there was no proper mechanism in place to deal with them.

Questions which concern matters of CHA policy may take a little longer to receive a reply as the Board will need to have reached an agreement on whatever the subject might be.

Simple requests for information (e.g. concerning Events) should receive a reply from a member of the Board pretty quickly.

Oh, sorry, I didn't know that!

Actually, I did try it earlier and just got some sort of white screen, but it seemd to work OK after that.

I imagined that as it was on general view it was now accessible.

A question for Julian, then.....

Sorry, my fault entirely!!

I set the new section up last night (in haste, after a 2.5 hrs conference call), aiming for it to be hidden whilst I tested the functionality.
CHA Board members are moderators on the section, and hence why Richard can get at it, but I didn't plan for it to be visible by other users until we were ready.

Now that you know it's there though, we'll get it off the ground now, and I'll change it so that it's visible to all, and questions can be posted.

It's setup so that you can post questions, but only board members can reply - the aim being that it doesn't become a chat-room, and is more akin to letters and responses.

Oooh! I seem to have turned a shade of green this morning! Must be the long train journey yesterday afternoon followed immediately by a teleconference lasting 2.5 hours.

Did you manage to eat your supper?

I was sitting in the garden with the phone - got a bit chilly by the end of the conference. A large grappa sorted me out, though!

Yes, I did. Were you not aware of the disgusting sound of mastication? It seemed to me the more pronounced in that that Oliver was forced into unaccustomed silence at the table.

..... oh! and my darling wife kept re-filling my glass "to keep me going".
