No you're not, you are just putting your point of view, and very well too.
I can see the child protection thing as I have been checked and I'm sure now it is pointed out others will too.
It all seems rather sad but that is the way of the world.

You're not waffling, you're volunteering!Mrs C. wrote: The suggestion I would like to make is that there possibly be an "Official Unofficial Forum Get-together" at some point so that at least people who feel they already know each other could have the opportunity to meet, rather than just 4 or 5 people at a time!! it shouldn`t be impossible to arrange something, I`m sure.
(sorry - I`m waffling...!!)

I'm reading between the lines, Janet!
Seriously, though, a forum-based get-together would be good, but when and where?
Someone would need to do the organising.......(or shall we have an 'awayday' to Dorking to meet J.R. for a few?).

A couple of years ago, a friend from uni and I organised a uni reunion for those on our course- it was impossible to decide when to do it until one person said they`d be out of the country for 6 months or so after a certain date - at which point we decided on a date just before he was due to leave. The place was easy - here at CH - I had accommodation, central for Gatwick and London -based friends. That was only a dozen people - and was difficult enough to organise..!

'Trombotine' is the name of my product!J.R. wrote:I knew that Mary, (the name of the product that is), but I just didn't want to upset Richard !englishangel wrote:Going back a bit, it is KY jelly JR and I have been using it for over 30 years
Never knowingly been anywhere near KY jelly in my life (well, with the possible exception of Soho - I'm sure there must be a few blokes wandering around Old Compton Street who are packing a tube or two).

My suggestion would be to meet in London, close to a main line railway station, with an early evening start so that people can make the last train home.
I have done this with my brothers and sisters, 5 of us at a Zen Restaurant in Marylebone station (excellent and very good value), and with 7 people from my junior school at a wine bar next to Charing Cross Main line station.
All those in favour, join the thread and we'll get it moving.
Can't necessarily promise to be there as I have just discovered that the local supermarket sells Leffe Brune (or Leffe Negra) at €1.21 a bottle (about 85p), so the incentive to travel is seriously reduced.

A Sunday lunchtime/afternoon - the Bax, - nice garden, food if required, children`s play area for those with little`uns..... accessible on foot for current Grecians if during term time.... day out in the Sussex Countryside for those who would be travelling by car, and near enough to CH station! (I`m sure lifts could be arranged if necessary!)
Might have more appeal to those with families than London?
