I use AVG and, touch wood, haven't had any viruses or spyware since I installed it. What I can't understand is - the Windows operating system is prone to all sorts of threats but if you use an AppleMac they cannot get any viruses. Surely Bill Gates and his huge empire have the resourses to make Win...

I`ve always used AVG free, plus Spybot and AdAware - both free too. And Zone alarm - again, free. I was going to specify the same ones except that AVG is sometimes known as AVAST. You can google for all of them, download and installation is pretty straightforward - almost automatic. In the case of ...

... not sure about Falklands and Gibraltar, but Channel Islands currency is definitely NOT legal tender in the U.K. I would not like to be the person who tries to refuse a pound coin, same size and weight, same Queen's head but from one of these places. We now have so many designs on our coins that...

The one question which is puzzling me is why has a Scotsman been put on the back of a Bank of England note? The Scots have their own notes and I am wondering if a famous Englishman or Welshman has ever been put on one of theirs. Scottish notes are not issued by any State or semi-State body. They ar...

But Amy, when you have been evacuated from the age of 6 (just) and only seen your parents a couple of times a year until you are 10, you don,t worry too much about being away from home. I spent 2 terms at a local primary school, not knowing anyone and feeling a total outsider, we lived outside the ...
