To be honest Richard, it was more an attempt to get the thread back on topic again. Not a very subtle one I grant you but it was a simple attempt to pull this back on topic and it seems to have failed.

I like that emoticon hehehehe

Back to the sicker before I get in trouble again, is it stll used as a how would you describe it, a dorm for some of the girls?

Or is it now just a museum?

Was it costs that stopped the school having a working sicker with nurses and a school doctor?

Oh dear, I said almost and I was joking. Although I do wonder if the motion sensors could be regarded as a civil liberties infringement. I know that the school is in loco parentise (or however the hell it is spelled) and there is a reaction! Calm down folks No offence meant

It sounds almost as if the school got too overly concerned with the idea that nooky might happen. It sounds as if the next step would have been mine fields with trip flares

Ah yes, the smell of wood polish. There seemed to be a need to ploish the floors even if they became so slippery they were dangerous!

One day in Maine B I slipped on the top step outside the uper dorm and fell all the way to the ground floor. I managed to sprain both ankles in that stunt.

As long as I live, I will never forget our school fried eggs. They were in so much oil that if one slipped onto the floor, it would keep on sliding until a wall stopped them. I am sure they could have doubled as shoe repair kits

I still haven't got the hang of uneven ground yet. Roads, pavements even lawns are no problems. Some uphill work is okay but I am still working it all out. Cobble stones are out and rough stoney paths ditto, I seem to end up passing out from the pain. Doors are the worst for me, I still haven't work...

I have always wondered how that works. A metal pan with a metal handle and your hand doesn't get burned!
