That car was fantastic although I once remember him pulling up behind me while I was running a steeplechase and then speeding up in order to get me to run. My reaction was to sit down and he gave up and gave me a lift back! Always hated steeplechases.Great Plum wrote:I think the only casualty was Mongy's car...

Given that group of names very likely to be Cath, the only other obvious one missing is Jay. Adam, I stopped going to the NE for a bit, so let's plan around you coming south and then not actually meeting  . I am sort of thinking I wil probably make a 20 year reunion in a couple of years back ...

Harry's alley was known in my time with regards to Harry Spurrier too I seem to remember s...

I used to go for quite a lot of late night walks mainly in the summer though. The one that sticks in my mind is the one that happened after a couple or ten shandys. I awoke one night on big side, slightly confused but none the less alive. I looked at my watch to see it was about 1am and proceeded to...

Re: Best teacher
Richard "Killer" (Killa ?) Fry - dominated meals but in reality had a heart of gold and was a superb Biology teacher. I sincerely hope he is still around. Mongy Torkington - how could chemistry lessons be anything but exciting with him doing things like accidentally igniting an oil covere...

I think he retired from teaching at C.H. during my time there (i.e. before 1989). Fairly sure he was still there in 89 when i left. The main thing i remember is his big 'dulux' dog who spent half the year with heavy, matted fur and the other half of the year looking half the size after his/her annua...
