Re: Hertford Museum : Follow up visit 2 August
When I went to the museum they invited me to put my name down for a CH guide they were going to produce. Does anyone know whether this ever materialised?

Re: A Girl's School from Outside
Exhibit B: this can't be a cubie! From the height of the bed, the window and the fireplace, I think that this must be Little Dorm in 3s. To me, it looks back to front, as a 6s girl would think. ... Sophie looks so beautiful and sophisticated! ... I originally thought we were at the front of the hou...

thamesmudandbarges: I don't think we are looking at the same photo! Nor me! Swimming pool would be in the right place. There's a road now between the back of 5s and what was the playing field where the swimming pool stood, but that must be new. So if you'd been standing where that photo was taken, ...

Hertford photos from the sixties
No doubt Sophie had excellent taste (see photos on "A Girl's School from Outside"), but I've been grievously misleading you to suggest the kiss was anything more than a kind thought to include me when saying goodbye to the 3 of us after the dance.

A Girl's School from Outside - Illustrated
I tried to contact Sophie through FR a few weeks ago but had no reply. I would have liked to have asked her permission, but I don't think it will do any harm to show the photos I took on Sunday 29 June 1975, and I think they deserve a place in the wonderful archive which this forum constitutes. Exhi...

Re: Hertford photos from the sixties
Agreed, thanks to Mary Lynch (McDonagh) who created them, and to the school for providing a dark room.Angela Woodford wrote:These pictures are wonderful!

Re: Hertford photos from the sixties
I'm a bit shocked/puzzled by the possibility that what I did might constitute copyright theft. The only reason I put them on Photobucket was because this is the method recommended by this forum (see FIRST TIME VISITORS - How to post pictures). I'd never used Photobucket before and have no intention ...

Mary's photos the right way round
It's not easy for me to tell, but I think it's these 3 of Mary's photos that were posted the wrong way round, so here they are the other way round. I was going to mirror "Alex and Susan" too since Alex thought it needed it, but if I do that wouldn't the blazer badge be on the wrong side? h...

Re: A Girl's School from the Outside
Thanks Alexandra, especially for pointing out the photo. In spite of your precise directions I was a while finding it and experienced serious doubts in the meantime, since Sophie's hair couldn't be described as frizzy when I saw her, and I'd never thought of it as very blonde. However, as soon as I ...
