Re: MP3 players - advice needed please!

It's OK if you are running around CH but I would caution anyone who is not in a safe environment against running with headphones in. You can hear neither a pursuer (human or canine) nor traffic.

Re: Compulsory Games...

My brother lives on one of the roads right in the middle of Westcliff, the northern section being one way northbound and the southern section being one way southbound. Extremely confusing.

Re: Compulsory Games...

I have a good sense of direction and I also always seem to look as though I know where I am going. Was driving yesterday...

Re: Compulsory Games...

No, we don't have thread devoted to games, though they have obviously intruded on other threads. I can't believe you never played netball, I started playing at my first primary school which I left before I was 9. I was taller than average though. My "whole school" photo in September 1962 s...

I had dire warnings when I left home in Germany for the student lifestyle in UK I was pretty terrified when as a new undergraduate I ventured into my first Black Horse/Red Lion/Spotted Dog/Whatever in Sheffield - expecting a den o...

Re: TWO deaths : Betty Jukes and Jean Taverner

Ah, that explains a lot. I don't have a teaspoon in my cup/mug (old family 'story' about someone who poked his eye out), but when having a coffee in a coffee shop I always ask for black with cold milk. Medium Americano with cold skinny I believe.

(Doubtless because of all the spivs, ne'er-do-wells and gamblers lurking in the back streets of Hertford. Not to mention the bugs in the PO and swimming baths...)
