I remember both Nick and Tim from Col B.
I seem to recall that they have both 'passed on'.

Re: Pocket money, Nausea and more
Definitely payment in my day but I don’t recall how much. 15 florins seems a lot, all in one go, but I used to get one florin as a choir boy at weddings before I went to CH, so maybe it wasn’t that much. I was a swab for my second two terms to Launchfield, the Trades Monitor, and the all of my seco...

Re: Pocket money, Nausea and more

It was stored term time in the trunk room in the Tube. I think pocket money was 30 bob a term and was managed by R A Hewitt, dep h/m of Coleridg...

Re: The Housey Hotspots, etc
I don't recall the jazz band of the 50's.
The Gene Simmons story is certainly true. It was televised and a OB who used to be a regular contributor on here was prominent in the production. He is now a member of The Cloth.
I don't think any pop band resulted.

Bob Rae - R.I.P.
Sad news just arrived in July edition of CHOBA.
Bob (Robert) Rae Staff, Deputy Head 53-90 appears in the Obituary section.
I know J.H. remembers Rocker well as I do. He taught us both.
