Re: A comment from a Sexual Abuse Victim from CH
I, too, had a meeting with Simon Reid, not so many months ago. Two members of the Safeguarding Team were also there and from the the first moment, it was made clear to me that Mr Reid had cleared his diary for me and I could have as much time as I needed. Very different from my two meetings with New...

Its also worth noting that Hertford Lady's can contact Hertfordshire Police or, indeed, you can contact your local police who can forward paperwork accordingly to either Sussex or Hertfordshire Police.

Re: What Were You Useless At?
I'm sure I was supposed to have had history lessons at CH but I simply cannot remember any classes, any teacher trying to instil anything into me or anyone else having anything to do with history. 1066 was taught in primary schoool - not CH though Shakespeare did contribute. That said, I suppose I ...

Re: British Boarding Schools Harmful?
[/quote] A drunken 'idiot' was giving me massive grief in my local the other day, and I remarked to a friend I was getting near the point of parking him on his @rse. Friend replied, 'Not worth it - You'd only end up inside !' to which I replied..... 'After the boarding school I attended, a couple of...

Re: British Boarding Schools Harmful?
I can't remember much that was "good" about those days, JR! :( I did enjoy my last couple of years at CH. Possibly first year in Col B was a bit daunting, and Prep B was a nightmare. Toughened me up for the world, though ! JR I can empathise with that. I went at 11, never really did settl...

Re: Does anyone on this forum go to church?
I've just caught up with this divorce argument. Can I first of all declare an interest - according to Gospel I am assured of eternal damnation as I have divorced and remarried twice! I seem to recall in the Old Testament (but cant put my finger on it at the moment) that it was permissible to divorce...

Polygamy seems to be acceptable too! Indeed  Last word to Jamey. Just a shame all this was later beaten out of him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_z1HO6sxmo&feature=related And if anybody thinks this beautiful little soul deserves to be burning in hell, then, irrespective of bible verses...

Re: Does anyone on this forum go to church?
Neill - your comment 'from zealots, of any faith, Good Lord defend us' - with which indcidentally I heartily agree - reminds me of my father's description of the City of London motto Domine Dirige Nos. In Dad's words it meant 'Lord protect us, not God help us'. Personally I think it is Lord direct ...

Re: The Housey Special
I apologise for returning to this subject but I wonder if any one has a rough date as to when the School ceased to hire a special train to take pupils to London. I assume that normal passenger services are now used as of course they were on the Guildford and Brighton lines. Does the school now brea...
