My very good friend is currently CO of the DandD's. They are in Basra South at the moment, but will be returning to Catterick towards the end of the year. We drunk their health last night here in Rome... and all at the table were suitably impressed. And my oldest - 6 years old - is now desperate to meet them (he has been following the reports on the web these last few days). Yes - magnificent news... What an achievement! Can you imagine sitting on top of the world...I have flown past Everest many times (Bankgkok - Kathmandu... a wonderful flight) - and its majesty and mightiness never ceases to amaze. What wonderful wonderful news! Worthy of a toast in their honour this...
