Yes - magnificent news... What an achievement! Can you imagine sitting on top of the world...I have flown past Everest many times (Bankgkok - Kathmandu... a wonderful flight) - and its majesty and mightiness never ceases to amaze. What wonderful wonderful news! Worthy of a toast in their honour this...

ahhh... Peanut Peak... nope, not a myth... but at the same time, not "our" mountain. Climbing our mountain involved setting up ...erm... Base Camp.. Camp 1.. Camp 2 (I am trying hard to remember).. and Camp 3, which was the camp from which the summit teams left. Peanut Peak was at the end ...
