Re: What were your thoughts about the theatre?
It was, at the time, one of only a couple of theatres in the country that could have the audience going 360 degrees around the stage - with the extra balconies at back of the stage. They were in the props room for the most part but towards the end of my time there, they were installed permanently. I...

Shelley's Wood is very fenced off now - I remember one Saturday activity coppicing in there with a machete. Steeplechases are very tame now - as mentioned - just a few laps of Bigside, starting outside Hunt... Yes....I too can find a woman through the ads now appearing, or even learn about my digita...

Relationships - Grecian / UF
In my day, there were any number of Grecian / UF relationships - usually with the Grecian being male...actually, always being the male element. I have been told that the relationships were very intimate. My son tells me that he doesn't know of any going on at present. I am presuming that no safeguar...

Mr Robinson, whose first name I can't remember, but he had the amazing Cathy as his wife. he taught in the manny and she taught textiles and I think that nearly every single boy had the hots for her. I seem to remember that his MG Midget had an unfortunate accident with one of the stones near the f...

Re: Ernest McCall- Maths teacher / housemaster Maine A
I think Mr Robinson "its not metalwork, its craft, design and technology: cdt for short" in a tough middlesboro accent..... ....was married to a very northern textiles teacher. We had lessons in the lower floor of infirmary. I didn't think it was much fun but a nice girl in our class went...

Re: Over on Facebook
The guy who ran the 1990 Old Blues facebook site has closed it down, as he 'wanted happy memories'. In doing this, he, to me, is actually complicit in preventing people who may have been complicit in abuse coming forward to the police. Or to be fair, he wants an easy life and wasn’t expecting any o...

Re: How far did the rot spread?
My son is loving it. Just finished second form. Was offered on the way home at the end of term as to whether or not he wanted to go local. I didn't even have a chance to finish the question before it was rejected. He knows about 'awkward situations' and what to do. He is thriving. His report is near...

Mr Stratton sadly died of cancer - awesome teacher in my last two years at that school.
Mr Williams, Mr Robinson, Mr Snook, Mr Whitehouse and Mr (small northern bloke) were all resident when I was there. Loved that building and spent my last two years practically living in there doing projects.

Behind the manny. Lamb A ends was quite a popular destination. The copse next to the music school. The tree in the middle of big side when we were younger. Cigarettes and baccy were procured at any number of shops in Horsham...the most popular being the one just over the railway bridge as that as th...
