Doss Lessons
Never remember a 15 minute rule but we certainly invoked something. We had Roger Biddick?? for Russian in the top classroom nearest Big side in the Maths block. (For those who remember, Pop Massen's room). Our class started at 10.55 I think. He was nearly always late and once we waited until 11 stru...

The Blue and the Ch Association/CH Club
Just got back from London and happy to receive all the criticism you can throw as long as you back it up with some way to make it more interesting for the whole of the CH community. You should rememebr that the only ones who got a free copy of the Blue were members of the CH club, whose average age ...

Matthews
I had Matthews for Chenistry for which there were many stories. One concerns someone starting something in one of the back where there were some form of gas extractors. Half way through the first lesson there was a loud explosion as whatever it was came to fruition. Naturally there were also various...

The Blue and the Ch Association/CH Club
Just browsing comments and would like to clarify the following: I do not have the resources to check everything that goes in the Blue, as with the exception of Rex Sweeny, who does the lions share of data collection, and others mentioned as contributors to the news sections, I am a one man band, as ...

Try http://www.Hybrid-Artworks.com
It is run by Charles Brierley-Howes (Staff 01-04) and I included a note on his site in the Summer 2004 Blue.
He sells but you never know what he might give away.
In the latest Blue we have a photo of a wedding that took place this year. Getting quite popular.

What's going on?
The club voted to cease it's activities and is now winding up its business. It should formally cease to exsist on either June 30th or July 31st, can't remember which. I had tried to keep all aware with blow by blow account in the Blue, but it is in the boring bit so maybe people didn't look. All clu...

Annual Blue
Don't forget that the first Annual Blue is not out until October, covering the school year 2004/5 and will cost money.
The Blue I have produced is the last financed by the CH Club and has no current school news, although I have included House Notes of the last century.

Band Photo
I am not in photo and cannot remember being in a similar photo, so it was before I joined the band. I belive that Roger Dowsett, whose memorial concert will take place in Southwark Cathedral in September, is the trumpet player on the right hand side of the second row. "Joe" Curtis of cymba...

1960 Band
Not sure if it is not a year later as the bass drummer is Pete Ledeboer, and Robin (Joe) Curtis is on cymbals. I cannot see the other bass drummer, but it might have been Nick Ledeboer.
You may be right but...
Bnady didn't change from one year to the next.

What's going on?
I would like to support Julian in that despite what appears not to be happening, things continue to move forward, probably not at the rate everyone would like. I have had production problems with the Blue, due down to distance and the fact that the printers changed software when they upgraded some h...

Drums & Drum Majors
Although I played trombone, (60 - 66), I have just been to Speech Day for the first time since 66, and took a video of the band to show my local village band. As such, I noticed the Drum Majors and their movements semed very similar to those of my day, with the exception that I cannot remember the o...

Archive of the Blue
My apologies. I worked in admin and I felt that scanning 2 and a half shelves of books would take some time, especially if there are other, more important time users. I am sure there are now better methods of doing it, but none that I have seen at CH. There is no doubt that the Blue will eventually ...

Archive of the Blue
If you are interested at looking at the Blue, going back to the very early editions, but not a complete set, then they are all sitting in the CH Club roon in CH. I assume that they will be kept when the Association comes into effect. I used them for House Notes for the upcoming Blue. Nobody is going...
