Horses and the British Army
Alex Owen (MaA GrE '03) made Wednesday's Daily Express, and there's a great story/video on the website http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/305227/The-real-life-war-horse-that-cleans-his-own-stable). Can't imagine there are too many Old Blues in the Household Cavalry Regiment, but it's good to see hi...

Re: Day Pupils.
From what I understand, the day pupil proposal (I believe the term used is outboarders) was discussed at a recent meeting and is seen as less than ideal but potentially necessary measure in the current financial climate; that is to say, it has been accepted in theory.

Re: Should Christ’s Hospital Stop Being a Faith School?
It's certainly an interesting question you raise, but rather futile if personal perspectives on religion must be ignored; ironically, Spoonbill, you make your views patently clear in your post. Sticking to the issue of CH and other faiths though... As a recent CH leaver who has spent the majority of...

"I went into a public-'ouse to get a pint o' beer,The publican 'e up an sez, "We serve no red-coats here." Spot on Ben. I think Kipling has the last word on this matter. I just joined the TA in London, and it was hilarious when we stopped for fast food on the way to a recent training...

Kibbutznik?
I'm considering spending some time on a kibbutz next year, and was wondering if this is something any forum users have done. I'd be grateful for any advice you might have.

Who's Blue
Hi,
just wondering what the status is of Who's Blue -
is it still online?
how does a recent Old Blue go about accessing/searching it?
Many thanks,
Mark Laichena

Re: Jordan/Lebanon/Syria anyone?
Well, it's not Sussex, but Jordan certainly isn't a warzone. I'll be there this summer working in Amman with Palestinian refugees - really looking forward to it, and was wondering if there were any relevant connections with CH. Lebanon, on the other hand, is as you say a little more volatile. I gues...

Jordan/Lebanon/Syria anyone?
I'm planning spending some time in the area this summer and then again next spring to volunteer/study/travel (at different times) - I was wondering if there is any active Old Blue presence there. If you're in the region, or know relevant people who are, please let me know! Mark Ma A, 2000-'07 laiche...

I know that I probably won't have a chance to go back to CH for a good few years which feels very weird, especially since my brothers are still there. I guess some things have changed a lot since some of the Older Blues here left, in that I can now send a message to friends who left before me, with ...

With all respect Phil, I've also met obnoxious Americans - but hardly any in a liberal college town such as Chapel Hill. They may run 'the place' - but not here, and I would hope that such fears would never be a reason to avoid considering some part of the USA for university. Sorry I took such umbra...
