Now, under a revolutionary plan, the carpark is to be dug up and turned into - would you believe? - an athletics track. That's progress. No wonder the school has to keep a...

Re: Attitudes to sports

I didn't mind rugby too much though with both housemasters in Col B playing at senior club level, you were expected to be brilliant which I wasn't.

Loved cricket. I was a pretty good pace bowler and a mean third slip fielder. Unfortunately, my batting skills were not that great.

Re: All this is incredibly sad

I only have a VERY vague recollection of the chapel revolt and I cannot remember the exact reason for it. You must remember that Col B sat nearest and to the left of the altar so were highly conspicuous to the religious 'Powers that Be' !

Re: All this is incredibly sad

I cannot recall CMES EVER visiting Col B, or hearing of him ever entering any house come to that.

I think he was too aloof for that sort of task.

Katharine.

Let this run for the time being. Julian will pick this up later. There is no secrecy over e-mail addresses on this site as far as I am aware.

Re: Can we get transcripts?

OK.

I have spoken verbally and briefly to Richard over this matter and have since e-mailed the questioner.

Yes, You can request a court case transcript but you will need a very good LEGAL reason for doing so.

As I see it, without a LEGAL reason for the request, you are very unlikely to succeed .

Re: Can we get transcripts?

To be honest Bob, I don't know.
There will be court transcripts but if they are publicly available, I don't know.
I will make enquiries.

Re: Why a teacher DOES NOT have to report abuse

Would that have been Prep A Freaky ?

I remember Gregory teaching Latin in Prep block. I only remember Eagle in Prep B and Jonah Jones in Prep A. (I was in Prep B).

I don't recall any other housemasters.

Re: REMOVAL OF CHOBA MEMBERSHIP

Irrelevant ? Possibly.

Mud slinging ? Hardly. All fact.

The woman in question was a senior police officer, and what we used to call a bl00dy rotten apple and a total disgrace to her profession.

I could go a lot further but feel it would be counter productive.

Re: REMOVAL OF CHOBA MEMBERSHIP

Ironically, I was tentatively 'approached' a few days ago with regard to possibly joining the masons.

My response along the lines of not wishing to roll one trouser leg up, wear a freshly laundered pinny whilst having a knife held near my throat didn't impress.

I mean - Kinky, or what ??
