I picked this up from Old Blues, and after lot of faffing on my phone have managed to copy it to CH Ladies.
I have no comments myself but as you say others may have.

Thank you for posting this. Another HOB noticed it and emailed me as she knows I am on the CH Ladies Facebook site. In fact Helen was on there too but it appears that no-one knew about her illness.
I have now posted it on there.

Re: End of term
I have just read the very first post on this thread and the song we sang in 2's was
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Q-iCpanPiU
Which would rise a tone or two over about 6 turns until we were screeching it.

Re: Wearing of C H uniform
I asked the HOBs on Facebook what happened at Hertford, and it appears that the girls wore uniform to and from home right up until the move to Horsham. I don't think we wore it to interviews, though perhaps we were supposed to  and there are various tales of how we got round the rule. At least...

Re: End of term
Oh but it was. We only did it on condemned mattresses though, at the end of the summer term. I am surprised there were no serious injuries.

This is currently being shared on Facebook by a load of HOGs (who didn't even go to Horsham). If it has been posted on here before I apologise. I think the funniest comment is by Barty116 but you have to read it right to the end. Written some time on Friday 17th January. http://www.tickld.com/pic/t/...

Re: Kerren Simmonds is in hospital
Blue light just means they wanted to do it as quickly as possible. Didn't want her away from a hospital/support for too long. Blue light = get out of the way, blue light and siren = get out of the way NOW!seajayuu wrote:That is what I assume, although it was apparently a blue light transfer again.

Re: Is There Such a Thing as CH Merchandise?
I've learnt from this forum (and not just here) that Hertford baths were curtained off (Horsham ones weren't). Which I find odd, as by hearsay I learn that all-female flatshares couldn't care less about privacy/modesty in this sense, while all-male ones (in my personal experience) do. I think this ...

Re: 40 Years on 1971/72
SAS, Damaris came from Bristol (she is now sadly no longer with us). I spent a couple of weeks at her home at the end of my first year at CH, and remember that as where I first read A Portrait of Dorian Grey and going to Clifton Suspension Bridge, but not much else.

Re: 40 Years on 1971/72
Frances, did you leave at the end of Upper Fifth? If you did your cohort is Class of '64 as they say in the U.S. Caroline, Damaris maiden name was Gwilliam, very unusual. Never heard it before or since. There are about 7 HOBs so far and at one point there were 7 women and 6 men, but checking just no...
