Re: Attorney General's reference

FOI? Or can he court be emailed directly?

interestingly the list to a CH newspaper in the email I've cut and pasted re Webb, which referred to him and then current staff attendeing some sort of event together no longer works. Presumably this is just a coincident. I think I saved a copy somewhere.

Re: Attorney General's reference

And for Burr I write to refer the case of Peter BURR to the Attorney General as unduly lenient. Burr was jailed for four years on Friday 5 Jan 2018 at Hove Trial Centre (Lewes Crown Court) having admitted 9 counts of indecent assault. There are details in this article. https://www.theguardian.com/uk...

Re: Attorney General's reference

If it helps this is what I sent it for Peter Webb. Dear Madam or Sir, I am writing to refer the sentence passed upon one Peter WEBB to the Attorney General as being Unduly Lenient. WEBB was sentenced to a term of four years imprisonment at Hove Trial Centre at 1400 on Friday 15 December at Hove Tria...

Re: Christ's Hospital / The Church of England / Child Abuse

Essentially the C of E's response so far has been to say i) CH and the C of E are separate legal entities ii) He was lasting working as a priest in Shrewsbury so that is the diocese to deal with Chichester prepared a 'reactive' statement in case of media enquiries (as opposed to a proactive one, con...

Re: I am returning my Bible...

Hi - although corporal punishment was legal 40 years ago commission the criminal offence of 'child cruelty' was not. I am sure, particularly given recent events regarding CH the police would offer to investigate this appalling sounding behaviour. Obviously approaching the police about such matters i...

Re: A day by the seaside (aka Husband's folly)

It would be interesting to see if this Mr Goulding was giving evidence about? The references, if any exist, between CH and Shrewsbury would be interesting. Was he in court to speak of concerns which emerged at Shrewsbury, or was he, on the contrary speaking of Dobbie's good work at the school. He's ...

Re: Christ's Hospital / The Church of England / Child Abuse

I remain surprised at the failure to properly reveal in the press that Dobbie at the time was Chaplain, in a school which apparently values such things. Perhaps a number of us have photos of Dobbie in the trappings of his profession that we could upload here, which could be used by the press, and i...

I made the police aware of the existence of this article when I learnt he was charged. Don't suppose anyone has back copies of the Daily Express (I thought it was the Sun?) to post here?

Re: A day by the seaside (aka Husband's folly)

I suspect Walsh is Stephen Walsh, an English teacher and author, who was at the school (and then presumably a close colleague of Simon Reid) in the 1990s, left and has now returned to the school. Presuambly his evidence relates to his first stint. Just a note - all the teachers (re post above) who g...

Re: The Sentencing hearings

Dobbie won't be going to France (and will hopefully never be able to leave the country again). This isn't to do with French immigration law, or Brexit or anything, but to do with him being a Registered Sex Offender. He will need authorisation from his supervising Probation Office and Police Officer ...

Re: James Andrew Husband, Pickering Town Council

He was happy enough to talk about the matter below in 2001 - a perturbing story regarding the ex-Mayor of Pickering. Husband stated ' “He’s a very pleasant man, who has given body and soul for this town, but it’s a huge shock for a little place like this. It really is a bombshell". Bombshell indeed....
