Re: Puke Fight!
Gladding had absolutely outstanding apathy skills. To this day I have never met anyone who could give less of a damn. The greatest example of this would have been early one Sunday morning when Mr Gladding informed us that Daniel Smith had died. I can't imagine this would have been very easy for him...

Re: Trump - I don't wanna go!
Despite all that, he has some significant achievements to his credit. He has not initiated any foreign wars and has tried to wind-down many of those already in existence involving overseas campaigns. He has made some major advances towards peace between Israel and some Arab states. He also went far...

Re: Elizabeth Cairncross
Food in the late 80s/early 90s really was dreadful. When I started the “food” for all 3 meals was dealt out by the older boys which meant that anything “nice” such as chips often didn’t make it down to the younger ones. At some point (I don’t recall when) breakfast & tea was switched to “cafeter...

Truly frightening. And these are the cases we know about. Likely to be the tip of the proverbial iceberg sadly.

Re: Bishop Ball documentary BBC2 2100 TONIGHT
I watched both programmes last night. 2) Whether CH was one of the schools who sent a character reference/letter of support? A brief glimpse of a letter from Cranleigh appears at 53.00 minutes in episode 1. I'm wondering if Gloucestershire Police would disclose this sort of information if you reque...

George Carey is still alive and allowed to sit in the Lords despite calls for him to resign https://www.secularism.org.uk/news/2017/06/lord-carey-faces-calls-to-resign-from-lords-and-face-criminal-investigation Two very different matters here. The Secular Society sounds as if it is opposed to relig...

Re: Bishop Ball documentary BBC2 2100 TONIGHT
I would hope that charges should be brought against the Cof E hierarchy, Archbishop, but in particular his chief of staff for aiding an offender; and if not gross negligence in the civil court; that level of conspiracy is a disgrace. No doubt richardb will counsel me that such actions are likely im...

Very shocking and disturbing documentary. George Carey should be ashamed (and also thrown out of the House of Lords).

Re: IICSA - Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse
Well done Robert, as ever, for all you are doing to support the other victims. In terms of our letters/emails to them, how lengthy do they need to be? Do we need to provide a compelling argument as to why CH should be included, or do we assume they already know the facts and simply lend our support...

Re: IICSA - Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse
Thanks Rob. I contacted IICSA in August last year requesting they look at CH after publication of the Ampleforth report. The parallels between CH and Ampleforth are plain as day. Thank you again for your commitment to this important (and no doubt draining) process.

Does anyone know how to update wikipedia? The school's page is out of date unfortunately.
