Re: France - Child deaths in cars

"Chaz, I've heard of a few cases in the UK but with dogs instead of children. Some people really are very stupid. Especially the French." I've almost stopped visiting this site, but now I really have to. Someone's CHILD DIED!!! They made a tragic mistake. They will never get over it. I do...

Re: Proposed gathering at Hertford Museum - 4/5 April 08

Hello! Thanks for sending the FR message(s!), Caroline. At the moment, it looks as if I'll be in Mexico for those dates, but if I'm back in Ireland I'll pop over for the weekend. I'll stay with friends in London, so no need to find a TravelLodge, with or without dogs. Happy New Year, all. Kay

Once again, 5s lose out! We didn't get tartan blankets till I was in the 3rd form. Before that we had some thin scratchy old blue things!

Father Ted

Strictly speaking, feck in irish means to steal or to throw. But no-one seems to stealing know that, so I don't think we should throwing care about it either.

Munch, I'm delighted for you! And, writing from this 150 year old crumbling pile, green with envy that you will NOT find yourself suddenly having to fork out for new chimney linings, a roof, new windows which are non-standard sizes and have to be hand made.. I could go on and on. Next time I buy, if...

Thanks for posting this. I've had 5 minutes of free auto-therapy from it this morning. Years and years after CH, I talked to my mum about this. I had always assumed that they dropped me off at school and then never gave me a second thought until I miraculously turned up at Sheffield Station 10 weeks...

That's hilarious! You've started me casting all of my in-laws as fridge contents and drinks cabinet cast-offs; "packet of beansprouts that seemed like a good idea at the time", "vintage chorizo that looked quite tasty but tasted like shoe leather" "bottle of Baileys with cru...

Oh Dear! I can see that that might be rather an unpleasant memory. Will you ever forgive me? Do you have a therapist you can call? Vocalist in my son's band calls the recorder "the devil's instrument". I'm inclined to agree. Sorry, sorry, sorry..............

G'day Phil Have you heard The Boss' album, whose name escapes me - not the latest one which is being released on Monday (?), but the one before that, where he filled the kitchen and hallway of his farmhouse with fiddle, banjo and horn players, and recorded some great (in my aged opinion) music? Rat...

Hi Munch! Hope your 2.30 viewing went well. You should be asking MORE for the extra charm and character bestowed upon your home by years of family normality. Slightly scuffed up homes are so much more relaxing, so think of the years of therapy bills they will save by not having to worry about splash...
